The hobby is always changing and evolving. Since everyone's been moving to crested geckos, why doesn't SCABIES jump ahead and get a group of Komodo Dragons! You know they're gonna be the next big thing! If we start now, by the time they become popular, we'll already have a few breeding groups going. Anyone with me?? Francisco, you're in charge of importing them. Steven, since you have that big ass house, you can house them. What do you guys say?

I'm down, but...why don't we just do cresteds? If we get a couple adult trios. We can sell the offspring to fund contests, or just use them as the prize.
Once we get them to breed, there is no stopping them, they lay clutches of two eggs every 20-30 days, it takes 60-80 days for incubation (Depending on temps), so in a few months we'd be up to our ears in cresteds.
Just an idea. I am sure we can get a few members to donate some dinero for a fund to get them.

Was going to collect some gators for u guys, but decided against because of shipping issues and whatnot.
They "fish" for gators down there by hanging ropes w/hooks dangling rotten meat above the swamp. The higher the meat dangles above the water, the less chance of catching a gator, but the height determines the size of gator the trapper is going for. I was told the younger "man-sized" gators are best for eating and the trophies start at 13ft.
