Southern Pacific RattlesnakesI went hiking at Los Penasquitos Preserve today. I saw 3 southern pacific rattlesnakes and many tracks crossing the trail. I thought I'd share a few pics. This is one of the smaller ones we found. Not once did it strike at me! I think it was more interested in trying to get away then putting up a fight.

Check out my Crots post if you want to see stupid,I added an old pic, the last time I free handled a hot.. (Heed the advice too, I am VERY fortunate, I free handled things a lot worse than the one in the picture... Its a miracle Im still drawing air..)
