Speckled Rattlesnake Eating a Squirrel!

I just witnessed the most awesome thing I think I've ever seen while hiking!  My girlfriend almost stepped on this huge speckled rattlesnake (the biggest I've ever seen) and would've gotten bit if it wasn't in the middle of a meal.  Check it out!

You 2 are very lucky to have scene this! I have yet to have come upon a snake eating out in the field in my years of wildlife research. Great pic!

ive seen things like this while hiking. it is very exciting to see things like this! good pic man!

a buddy of mine walked up on a pair of diamondbacks actually mating while hiking a while ago. he got some really nice pics. i wish i could have been there for that one. that is a RARE sight

I think from now on I'm going to host my pics on my own server that way those of us who don't waste their free time by checking the board at work will be able to view them.
