Sphodros rufipes - "Red legged Purseweb Spider"

I remember seeing a documentary loooong ago where they spoke of these and showed their purseweb ambush technique. These are so freakin cool!!!

I wonder if anyone has kept/bred them in the hobby. They're endangered, but seem to be making a comeback according to the numerous sightings/reports on whatsthatbug.com

Who know's if that's true though......

yeah, rufipes is proteced

niger and the others are not, afaik


i think i could probably trade a lady i know for some if i can get some Megahexura fulva (which is very high on my list of things to catch!).  the lady has mad skills with mygs.  dang, i should invite her to join scabies.
