Here is a set of pics I took today. Im just amazed at how large they each got after a molt.

Pulk

that's awesome!
Johnny

Dude, im telling you man....these are awsome spiders. We will most likely get more and can get one or two for ya.
Pulk

this is the penultimate/penpenultimate male I released

he was very fast... and the blue glint/sheen is great
What

Johnny

Local collecting; saticoy/santa Paula foothills.  funny story actually... I was at a cram session for soul-stealing AP exams and someone dropped it onto someone else in the dark thinking it was a cricket Rolling Eyes I saw it was more than that so I caught it and when I put it up to the light the "victim" and the "perp" were rather disturbed Wink

I'll post pics of her egg sac soon.
Johnny

Thats a great story. So this person picked it up by hand or a cup? That's pretty messed up anyways even if it was a cricket. Laughing Kind of stuff I used to do when I was a kid.

You mind taking a pic of it and posting it if you can??
nhaverland

hand, and yes, the pics of mom will come with the pics of her charge
Pulk

i can't figure out how you handle them, johnny... these are absurdly fast Shocked
Johnny

When it's cold and the larger ones are the calmest, forget about handling a juvie without the chance of losing it. It may be difficult for you to photograph them yourself at the same time. I just discovered a little feature of theirs that makes them more beautiful. I wont tell you cuz I want to photograph it myself  occasion5
Johnny

I got a pair of these mating on film. The quality is pretty low and it was at night. I was waiting for the male who survived to feed and then introduce him to another female in a better setup. I might just upload the one I got after I chop it down to a good lenght ""size"".

Hey Mr. What.....I still have yours if you want me to drop them off tomorrow on our way to S.D.

Pulk,.... would you be interested in a Calisoga? One died on me yesterday. This was one that I found roaming and so far, the roaming ones that Francisco and I have found havent lasted. I have two left but dont know the sex of the smaller one. Maybe I'll take it tomorrow and have Francisco take a look at it. If it's a female and you want it then it's yours.
Pulk

congrats on the mating Very Happy

kevin is away on the TITTIES trip.

calisoga: no thanks, i already have two.
Johnny

Hey Pulk, how are these babies doing? ...still gotta post their low budget mating B-video.

Johnny

good update...thanks
Johnny

Hey "J", how are these coming along? Any of the slings make it?
Pulk

Nope. Turns out they need food and water  Rolling Eyes

But one of the adults is a MM... do you think it's worth trying to re-mate the female? Any chance she'll make another sac without it?
