Therea olegrandjeani

Anybody here heard of the roach species Therea olegrandjeani?  I was looking around on the web and came across Bugs in Cyberspace (http://www.bugsincyberspace.com/detail.htm?ProductID=bic230)that had them for sale.  They're from India and look very similar to the Dominoes but actually have a cooler appearance in my opinion.

I've never imagined having roaches as other than feeders but I'd consider these.  Unfortunately they're $7 each for small nymphs and I couldn't find anywhere on the web with care instructions/life span/size/etc.

It's actual name is Therea sp. Grandjeani. Not entirely sure where Peter got olegrandjeani. They're neat, but expensive. They'll eventually get cheaper as more and more people get them.

Ghey are known (I think) as "Question mark" roaches GBU Enterprises has them. $12.00 each... I think they are adults (don't quote me on that)

Amen.

I remember seeing a picture of a Domino roach and they do look similar. I wonder if anyone has any info on either species or both as I would like to know more.

Very very pretty......I wonder if this roach will be the exception in my house......as the one that's allowed. Razz

No one else would ever know it was a roach unless you *told* them!  ;-)

Me thinks you might be up to something Celeste.

Bingo!  Just call it a "beetle" and there will be no nasty thoughts brought up  Laughing

So I inquired with the seller posted above and this is what response I got.  "They are nymphs and it  takes them up to a year to adulthood.  They then can live up to 16months."

So I think I'll wait for our own Francisco to put some up for sale  Wink
Habibi18
