Hi, I've just come across a Tityus asthenes in captivity. I tried doing some research on them, and I have found nothing. Can some one tell me a little about them? their venom? their mannerisms and attitude? I know they are bark scorpions. and any other random information?

Heres for Tityus in general;
they like it a lil on the cooler side not to hot. well venalated enclosure, weekly misting, if the humidity gets high its not good for them.

Hello,
OH man you beat me to Roberts collection congratulations.
T asthenes are a hot specie from Peru. the nicest one they have.
they are very shy and like cool temps as Warren stated.
I hope Raul or Eddy share a little bit more info on them. I think raul thiscordia had them or still have some not sure.
good luck

Treat them how you would treat any bark scorpions. A few things to keep in mind they usually breed (and give birth)) after a cooling period. Like Warren said I've lost a few to higher humidities. They're more on the dry side but you still offer some water or a weekly LIGHT misting. Temps should be 80's during warm periods and low 70's for a cooling period which should be 2-3 weeks. The cooling period just gets them mating. They are pretty hot spcies, don't get stung. Mildly aggresive but pretty fast.
Venom, aggression, speed chart. I simplified it to number form
