Web in front yard

Here's a picture of a little spider web in my front yard:

Sorry it's such a lousy picture...  You can sort of see the tiny spider in the center.  This web is about 10 inches across.  I think the spider is Achaearanea?  This looks like the ones that I have all over my reptile room (alongside the cobweb spiders).

way definitely not achaearanea (or parasteatoda)

is the orb vertical or horizontal?
Celeste

Kind of in-between, but mostly horizontal.  These are the same little guys (with conical abdomens) that make webs in the ivy.  They are very small and pale in color.

this is just a guess, but uloboridae?
Celeste

I'll try to get a better picture sometime -- the web and spider were still there last time I looked.

the second pic does look kind of like uloboridae

especially with the small size and horizontalish webs

if so, that's pretty cool. one of the only families of spiders that lacks venom Smile

Well, here's another crappy picture.  Sorry I can't seem to get a good clear shot of this little guy/gal.

Can you tell from that?  It's really small.
