Where my NARBC money went

Here's where my "mad-money" went:

Ain't she a beauty?
~Abyss~

Yes, yes she is.

Oh what a princess!  I have two baby cornsnakes.  One is a snow, but she isn't as white as yours.  What do they call that color phase?

Spectacular! Dang it, you're going to get me back into herps. I just know it. With all of the incredible color morphs of herps being bred it becomes what I think of as Living Art.

I don't know -- I think it's just a Snow Corn.  But I can ask the lady I bought her from.  The picture doesn't do her justice -- she literally *glows*.

Hello Celeste,

Well I have to be honest and say that thank to Celeste and the really nice snakes she had at the show, specially her new addition to her beautiful collection of reptiles. I got myself a 2.1 King snakes I think they call them The designers color. Well I traded a few slings for the snakes, they are white with black stripes along the body on the top part.

I can't wait to have them.

Nice snake Celeste, thank you.

Somebody talk my girlfriend into letting me get a ball python!  I held Cloei's last night and now I really want one.
Celeste

Congratulations on the new pets, Francisco and Eddy!  Kingsnakes tend to have "bolder" personalities than Corn Snakes (as you can tell from the "attitude" Eddy's is displaying in that picture!)  But they rarely try to bite.  I've picked up wild Kingsnakes and never had one even attempt to bite me.  (They usually defecate, though...)

And Kyle:  tell your girlfriend that Ball Pythons are the most timid, gentle python species.  (Babies can be a bit "nippy" sometimes, though, but they grow out of it).  And that they only get about 5-6 feet long, tops.  And as long as you keep their cages clean they don't stink at all.  I've *never* heard of anyone being allergic to them.  Most of them will eat dead rodents (thawed, previously frozen) if you wiggle them, so you don't have to feed live animals to them.  Has she ever seen a baby Ball Python?  They have just about the *cutest* faces you will ever see on a reptile!

Celeste you are so right.  My king pooped on me constantly when I first got him.  He went all psychotic during breeding season, but he's mellowing out now.  The corns are just puppies.  They poke their little heads up everytime someone walks into the room -- they love to be held.  I really want a ball python too, but got my hands full with my sick dragons right now.

I sure hope my snow grows up to look like that!  What did you name her Celeste?  Mine is Daphne (after the Greek mythology character, not the friend of Scooby-Doo)! Wink

I wanted to name her Selene (after the Greek moon goddess), but it would have reminded me too much of Celine Dion...  :-P

So instead I chose "Shinju", which means "pearl" in Japanese.  Depending on the kanji you use to write it, the root word "Shin" (pronounced "sheen") in Japanese can also mean "spirit", so I was looking for something with "Shin" in it.

That's perfect.  She is a beautiful pearl!  Good luck with her!
