Very nice spider you have there. I love wolf spiders. Lycosidaes are actualy my favorite family of spiders
I also like the way you decorated it's terranium:) It realy does make it look like it's natural habitat. I used to put alot of cute things in my wolf spider's terraniums but i ended up having to remove some of them because my spiders were hiding so well, i couldn't find them without having to remove everything everytime i wanted to see them.
The way i've arranged their terraniums now is with about half an inch of substrate so that they can't burrow and then block the entrance to the burrow like they used to do. I also put one rock or piece of dead wood so that they can still hide under something if they want to but at least i know where :-) I also put in a few leafs because i know they like to walk under fallen leafs whenever they are hunting and have to move to follow their prey.
So as i said , the way you build it's terranium is realy awesome in terms of the way it looks but it might make it harder for your spider to hunt down the crickets or roaches you put in there to feed it . Because there seems to be alot of diferent places for the feeder to go hide into that could make it almost impossible for your spider to reach since your spider seems to be one of the large species of Lycosidaes.
One last thing, you seem to have put all natural things in there. I like to use natural leafs and branches rather than using fake ones too but since you basicly filled up the container with them, you are probably gonna have to re-do the whole things about once every 2 weeks or so. It doesn't realy represent a problem for you depending if you mind or not giving yourself the trouble to do so but for your spider, it might mean having to rebuild it's own retreat or burrow everytime you refresh the terranium. I don't think it realy matters whether your spider needs to rebuild a new retreat every two weeks or not but if you're like me, you will want to make the life of your pet as easy as possible :-) Also you will want it to realy feel like home in it's terranium .
So anyways , this is the opinion and experience sharing of a guy that's been keeping spiders as pets for only 3 weeks ::lol::. I'm not trying to tell you what to do or not ::lol::. I was simply sharing experience hoping i might be of some help to you.
The fact that your species of Lycosidae is not the same as mine might mean that they have a few differences in their behaviors and stuff like that. You might have to scratch everything i just said hehehe.
good luck and have fun with your pet .
