WOW!  Those are *GORGEOUS*!!!

I wouldn't want to remove any from the wild, but if they are already present in the captive population, I wouldn't mind getting some.

not present in the open... I don't doubt somebody has/had one at some point but I don't think they would admit to it openly. Brazil has it's doors locked for the exportation/collection of it's native species... I think. They had a posting about this sp. in (ab) where there was some more info.

That is great to hear that Brazil is protecting their native species!  :-)  They really should look into managed captive breeding and exportation, though.  Many Australian reptile breeders are pushing for legislation to allow exportation of captive bred animals.  I think it benefits everyone all around.  (Just my 2 cents).

James (blaberus) said that it's just a matter of time before this (& the Pamphobeteus sp. "chicken spider") will be available to the hobby.  I believe some European hobbyists have this in their collection.

Celeste - I agree with your opinion on it.

Well, we'll keep an eye on the European forums for any for sale [LEGALLY!].  Paul Bollinger of BayouSurreal does a lot of importing from Germany, and might be able to bring them into the country [LEGALLY!] for us.

I think if Australia legalizes export of captive bred reptiles, and if it is successful, we would probably see a lot of other countries follow suit.  It's a great "renewable resource", and a great potential source of revenue for some poor countries.  Probably be a b*tch to regulate and monitor, though...
