Also on a sad note, when I was trying to get some pics of my B auratum I accidentally drop her and I could not help as the abdomen got really damaged. I had to put her down. - ftorres
I am so sorry. damn thats hard. i mean if you do not find another female. francisco, i will want you there for the event as you have more experience in regards to protecting the male. as the pool is now less one female, we need to protect the odds and make sure he gets around.
the good news is i don't need too many for myself so my extras will go twords scabies pool.
i will let G. roseas check each other out on sat. keep your fingers crossed. _________________ "the cats apart of me dream. im going to buy a sheep, a horse, anda cow, an raise horses on fiji."
Ryan just informed me that my GBB ate her second MM! At least I know he's feeding her well!!
What a *psycho* T!!! Are you sure you want that female reproducing?!
I'm just glad I didn't shell out $80 - $100 on a MM for her. I still hope to breed the GBB I got from Nesh next year. However, for now you could say I am beyond completely satisfied with my P metallica from our trade!! _________________ Jules

Update My female deceided to molt when I had the male in w/ the female and luckly he wasnt hungry, I removed him while she hardend back up and got a good meal in here, the male made a sperm web and reloaded in the mean time. I then reintroduced him to the female and they were happy for the first couple of days and then when I went to take him out she was finishing up w/ him(eating him). so I'm taking that as a good sign and he did his job, and will update on her when there is something new..
Also my mated female T.plumipes had molted a couple of weeks ago . but the good news I went to visit Raul and low and behold he had a mature plumipes in his possesion, so I have had them co-habbing for a week or so now and all looks good so far _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

Heres are somemore updates;
Tha male P.cambridgei that I picked up from Jules at the Nov. BBQ became victim #2 and was eatin by my savage female
Also my female T.plumipes that had a sac, doesnt have it anymore and I cant find it in all her webbing so I'm going to assume it was infertile and she discarded it somewhere in her labrynth.
I have a MM P.fasciata in on a loan from a guy on A/B, if anybody needs him let me know and I will put you in contact with the owner.
I have a MM P.ornata coming in tomorrow so if all goes well he will be up for loan afterwards.
And finally My female P.miranda will be having a date with Raul's male real soon. _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

I'm still watching and waiting on my P. regalis' sac. She produced the sac on 10/19, and I am hoping to see babies a few days before Christmas if all goes well. :-) The mom appears to be taking very good care of the sac, and it has about doubled in size since she produced it. _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
Just got the male ornata today and will introduce this weekend....
If nobody needs the male fasciata I'm gonna post him on A/B _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

Here is what I am working on for what is left of 2008:
1.RCF Rosehair-G. Rosea-Mated on 11/24. Male has not made another sperm web since the first mating. I guess it wore him out. I will be adding more webbing to his house and see if that gets him to make another sperm web.
2. A. Versicolor-I will introduce the female to Friscos male in a couple of weeks.
3. A. Avicularia- Made several mating attempts and nothing so far. I will keep you updated. Male has made a sperm web and is looking for a female. Neither one shows interest in eating.
4. B. albopilosum-Male just matured on 11/30. I have a very large and lovely female. It appears she has rubbed her abdomen so I was concerned about breeding. I will post pictures tonight in a seperate thread. If the consensus states that it is ok, I will be introducing the 2 in a couple of weeks. I have slowed my feeding down on the female for now.
I did post that I would buy a female even though I have one due to the abdomen issue.
*sigh* Needless to say its been rough in the Tarantula department at the Casey abode. I sincerely hope the rest of everyone's 2008 breeding projects are successful and please send positive energy my way for at least one egg sack next year!
