There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
Andrew we are taking the 210 to the 15 we'll be driving right by your house, im sure we could swing by and pick you up, we will be having 3 maybe 4 in Friscos truck, and I think the Casey's are taking a minivan type vehicle. _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

Last time I went to Bass Pro Shops, I spent $400 dollars and stayed in there for 4 hours. The place is heaven to an outdoorsman Hopefully we all have the will power to leave that place in a timely manner, hahaha.

Well Im back as with most of the others.
This was a pretty good trip I think 4-6 desert hairies where found, and a heck of a lot of dune scorps where seen, along with a couple of different types of lizards and some true spiders.
I will upload and post pics tomorrow, since its 2a.m. and i have to get up in 4 hours..
It was nice seeing you guys and gal again.. I'll see you next week.
P.S. thank you Denise for the delicious sandwiches and the kritter kreepers

It was great fun. I'll get pictures later for the caught scorps. One of my highlights of the night was at the second spot watching a juvi scorp going after and catching and eating a fly. I always enjoy watching them eat when I feed, but it was really cool to watch it in their natural habitat.
But, my adventure didn't stop there! After dropping Eric off and returning home I played homeless for a couple hours. When I returned home I couldn't get into my place because Denise had accidentally locked the 2nd dead-bolt (not unlockable from the outside). So after an hour of trying different ways to wake her up and deciding not to throw rocks at the window or kicking the door in I utilized the papertowels and TP that I had in my backback and made myself a little bed and blanket and setup my backpack as a pillow and went to sleep by the door (I didn't go sleep in the car as I figured it was a matter of time before Denise woked up and noticed me missing and would discover what happened. I wanted to make it easy for her to find me quickly). ::lol:: what a crazy night. Luckily I had only been sleeping there for an hour or so before Denise woke up and saw what had happened.
Maybe in the spring when it starts warming up again we'll have to go on another hunt. In the meantime Denise and I have a few spots we want to check. BTW thanks for the blacklight Eric. Oh and Kyle, we are still expecting a full sting report!

first of all, thanks to the Caseys (er.... Caseies? hmm) for the ride and the wonderful sandwich, thanks to warren for dinner, and thanks to Mister 'Cisco for the ride home
we had so much fun! the catching was a little slow initially, but everyone still had a great time goofing around and telling jokes and story.
the first place we went to yielded up some dune scorp looking things and some Hadrurus sp. we also found 5-6 solifugids (as you can see me shaking hands with one). i would say we found at least two different species, possibly three. one had green butts (found 2-3 of those), one had shiny butt, and one had like a tannish brown butt.
the second place we went was nuts. in retrospect, i should have have had ppl spot out 5-10 scorpions around them and then made a movie running through blacklighting to give a good indication of how many scorps were out there... next time for sure!
i have some pics i will try to upload later _________________

I know! I was about to take him home with me! I even had it in a deli cup in my backpack for a little bit until I came to my senses and realized that he needed to stay where he lives. I still miss him
