Yes, very much so. Southern California is preferred. Kansas is totally lame. _________________ "I hold your opinion above all others, tribe elder." - Neshan W. Sarkisian
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.
Ontario is fine.
If you want to host one, just offer. we usually have one every 1.5-2 months, so the next should be around Oct. or possibly late Sept.
It works best if you have a backyard. If your still interested just pm me and we can get things rolling.

You don't have to do much of anything -- it's a potluck, so people bring food and beverages. Do you want to allow alcohol or not? (That's your choice). And let people know the nominal timeframe (11 am 'til 5 pm is typical, but not required).
If you have flexibility on the date, you (or someone else) can post a poll to see if there is a strong preference for a date, or if there is only one day you can do it, just post that. (As the host, you get to choose, but we generally try to schedule the BBQs away from other events, such as the NARBC, etc.)
If you can provide an outdoor space with a grill, that's great. Otherwise, someone else might be able to bring one (just let us know). Do you have a microwave or oven for reheating stuff? And if you can provide a big tub of ice (for the beverages) that would be great, otherwise just let people know you need someone to bring that. Usually the host (or someone else) starts a food thread once we know the date and know who can make it or not. If you need anything in particular (like a grill, tables, chairs, popup canopy, paper plates, napkins, utensils, etc.), just let people know -- we're all "family" here.
You can take responsibility for posting a poll for the date, starting the food thread, and generally coordinating things, or someone else can do it for you (just ask). It's pretty easy. If we have a grill, a cooler for beverages, tables and chairs, and shade we're usually pretty happy. Things have a way of sort of "coming together" on their own, so don't stress. :-)
(Oh, and "Guitar Hero" on the Wii is pretty popular, too...) _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
do you mind if i send some pictures of the house inside and outside
(would like to send them by Email)
and yes we do have a grill, microwave and oven but will need a
canopy some chairs tables etc if we plan to have it outside
we do have a Wii but it is having problems scanning the discs
also have a big screen tv in the living room
kids and of course the spiders are always welcome to come
I have a few folding chairs I could bring, as well, if needed. And a portable grill about 15 or 16" in diameter _________________ "Paranoia driving me insane; Paranoia ripping through my brain; Paranoia making me believe; Paranoia, that somebody's after me!"
What are your preferences for a date, and we can post a poll for you if you like? Or you can do it yourself -- when you post a new thread, you have the option of making it a poll. Or ask Francisco (ftorres) or Warren (WBurke17) for help if you need it. _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)

we really don't need the pics, as long as there is room for 2 tables and one or two canopies we are cool.
He means *outside* (or inside, if you have room and prefer, but usually we're outside).
I have a couple of extra popup canopies, a small portable grill, a folding table, a tub for ice, and can bring chairs as well. (But I usually get there late). _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
(But one of the supermods will have to make it a sticky). _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
You might want to *wait* to post your address, so it isn't on the internet for a month... Usually, people just post it briefly or send it out via pm's. (Up to you). _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
