I would like to test whether bacteria/virii/whatever can survive on WC Ts fangs. I would imagine that if possible some Ts could arrive with some quirky hitchhikers. If things can survive on/in the fangs of Ts(or aculeus of a scorpion) then any pathogens the food or collector contained.
This is essentially the inverse of my current worries with feeding then releasing native inverts/animals. Think it is worth trying to set up a culture of whatever is on the fangs of a fresh import T?
As a side topic to this, has the venom of a T or scorpion ever been cultured to see if they have bacteria/virii present in that?
*I fully realize that virii is not recognized to be correct, I just like it better than viruses.
As a separate post I would like to note that should this pan out depending on the determined risk I would like to keep this underground. The USDA/APHIS does not need more ammo to ban inverts.
well... if we figure there is genuine danger to people or native species we would have to have a BIG discussion about what we shoul do
but if we find out there is something, but it is no big deal... i fully agree we should keep this under the radar of the powers that be

There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
