Went to a reptile-specialist petstore today that I won't name (it's on Brookhurst in Fountain Valley ) that has an immature T Blondi..eh, about 6 inches or so. Mind you, I only get my crix at this place when I have to. Anyway the blondi was in a bone-dry KK with bark chips and didn't have any water. The water dish had a layer of DUST in it. The hide was too small for the T and turned against the wall at an angle so it couldn't even enter the hide anyway. The T was circling the KK and trying to climb the walls, clearly stressed. Poor thing has kicked it's self bald. Abdomen looked smaller than it should, too. Price: $200
I didn't say anything to the staff about it since I knew they'd just shrug it off. Oh well, tis their $$ loss when it death curls on them. _________________ Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
Ya PREHISTORIC PETSsux big time, most of there live-stock doesnt look good excepy for maybe the fish and turtles in the feeder pond _________________ “Look down at me and you see a fool;

The first lizard I bought at Prehistoric Pets (a female Prehensile-Tailed skink in April of 2004) had mites.
The second lizard I bought there (a couple of months later), an armadillo lizard that I bought for my son, died within a week.
The third lizard I bought there (a male Prehensile-Tailed skink, circa August of 2004) got quarantined, got a fecal exam, and got treated for mites just in case.
I did buy a quartet of Corucia from them around two years ago that were O.K., though. But they were on consignment from a store employee who had had them as pets for several years. And I probably got them very soon after they came into the store, and they had not been there very long.
