Hey, folks

my son tells me that most of the bugs the kids have caught at his daycare lately have all had parasitic worms.  He says these worms are long and white (about 3/4" he's telling me), with two tiny black eyes (like little dots).  And my son thinks they have a brown, beak-like mouth (but I'm not too sure about that part).

One worm was in a fly that my son killed; the next one the kids found in a cage where they were keeping a June Bug, a bunch of pill bugs, and a "silkworm".

Does anyone know what these are?  I just thought I'd bring it up as something to be on the lookout for.  There might be an unusually high number of these this year for some reason.

(Next time he finds one I'm going to ask him to save it so I can try to get pictures).

if you can get more than one specimen i would very much appreciate it if you could chuck one in rubbing alcohol and save it for me. i am trying to get a collection of preserved parasites Very Happy

no clue what they could be

the two black eye spots and pointy face vaguely make me think of flat worms... but those are flat and not "worm shaped", really

I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
