There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. this little darlin is tiny! it could very well be female, as it seems to have pretty small pectines, but i don't have anything to compare it to so far
also, one thing, i caught and dropped a scorp that looked exactly like this that i would guestimate was 33% larger, so it might just be well fed
if it is a gravid female i would be SO happy as the babies would be tiny and freakin cute! _________________

i can try taking flash pics or using a bright light to see embryos. it looks like it might have a light enough colored pleural membrane to er, reflection candle her
and it says adult S. don's are 25mm (1"), so it's possible this thing could be a small adult, if we have the correct species.

says the moveable finger should have 7 rows of denticles, which this scorp appears to have, so that is good news. it doesn't key it to species by any stretch but the scorpion looks quite similar to the pic, too. unless there are more species in the genus i would say probably we know what it is
and it's not that i didn't believe you guys, i just like to work out species for myself to you know, learn stuff =P
