Look what the rain has brought forth! Spotted a bunch of these in a very close by local park ...captured 4 ...1 died mystery death, but the others seem healthy/spunky.

Wow! What the heck are those?! Very cool! _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
Geophilomorpha sp. something or another ..."soil centipede". They eat dead food ...they seem to burrow right into the carcases and slurp away. _________________

i had much less success with these big fat red ones than the more normal gold ones
i had a 3-4" gold one that stayed alive for about a year and would get skinny and then obviously fat when i put a prekilled roach in for it to eat... these wide ones just didn't seem to eat much if at all and all wasted away
of course, it could be that i was offering them food at the wrong temp or something weird... but it was really annoying to see all three of the specimens i tried to keep waste away.
i wish you much better success than i had, as they are really cool looking little dudes

There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
