Hello All,
Abstract
A new species of the buthid genus Centruroides Marx, 1890 is described from Veracruz
state. It is so far the only endemic species of this genus for that Mexican state. It
belongs to the nigrovariatus complex, a group of scorpions mainly characterized by a
swollen caudal segment V in the male. An annotated list of the Centruroides species of
Veracruz State is added, too.
