i would like to see how many NON-THERAPHOSIDAE species we have gotten pics of, and make a consolidated thread to show them off
please add links or img tags to pics of as many species as have not shown up in this thread so far. the img and pics will be used on other forums to show off our goods
i am expecting we can do 15 and hoping we can do 20+
here is what i have so far
[QUOTE=cacoseraph;159537]I recently collected at least three species of mygs that i have yet to identify. I found all three in the same valley in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, USA
oh yeah, ignore the filenames =P they were really rough first guesses, and i haven't read up on myg stuff in like a year
#2
makes open ended slightly flared burrows. burrow collar is clean when make in just dirt and horizontally oriented
but can have little twigs and leaves when made in a littered area
#1 has made an open ended mini-burrow and has eaten a couple little crickets
#2 i have two of, and both have settled into their new little homes and have made entertaining tube burrow/webs everywhere
#3 has molted since that picture and is now darker in the ceph and slightly more red in the abdomen. i was hoping it was a mature H. rupicola but am slightly leaning towards an immature M. fulva at this point. I *might* have another mature M. fulva from a dif part of the country... i can't tell if it is a Mecico or a Neme offhand (yes, easy to tell.. i just havent taken the right pics and looked it up... i will try to get picks of it and post them here)[/QUOTE]
we need lots of the thick and thin trap doors, turret spiders, etc still! _________________

There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
