I just found out there is a Gilbert skink and I want to know if they are legal to keep? If so does anyone know where I can find one?

they are legal to keep as long as you have a valid fishing license. I beleive you can keep a pair. I caught mine in Bakersfield.

Unless there is something special about this species, it is legal for you to catch and keep *one* native [non-venomous] herp if you have a valid fishing license.  It's O.K. for Warren to say "caught".
