I will also be bringing a Lasiodora difficilis female and Francisco will be bringing his MM to try and breed this species at the BBQ as well.

The Vinegaroon matings are pretty freaky -- that will be *very* educational for people.
And I'll be surprised if you get the P. metallicas to mate in the middle of the day... _________________ "Tarantulas are friends, not food" (but I bet they taste pretty good with butter and lemon!)
The M. giganteus mating, aside from freaky to some, can also be extremely long to others, lasting up to 13hrs of courting and culminating with the deposit of the male's spermathophore.
I dunno if the moving around of the containers and transportation stress will be of any help.
