SCOTT CROWE (doing business as "S.C.R. Invertebrates"), 425 Washington Street, Providence, R.I. 02903, (401) 277-9000, email: Scott@RegalReptiles.com .
When he was in charge of financial decisions at S.C.R. Invertebrates, Scott did some trades with me. He left S.C.R., but left an outstanding trade balance due to me of $39.50 . 10/20/07, I sent him an email saying "I see you are back in the hobby. Can you make good on the $39.50 credit I had with you dating back to 11/3/05? I've been waiting for you to clear that up. A simple trade will work. Thank you.". I got no response. I think he should take care of this balance and my suggestion of sending stock in trade is reasonable.
*** Let me add here that I do not think Scott is a very bad person. There might be a situation where it was Regal Reptiles debt, but Scott made their decisions about what to acquire and what not. So, technically, this might not be Scott's debt. I just think that Scott should contact me and settle it in trade for the principle of the matter in trade credit for something he has now or something he will captive produce. At the end of the year, when closing my business files, it makes it easier to me when all outstanding debts are satisfied. Doing accounting journal entries for bad debts not cleared up is time-consuming and not fun. Scott has not answered my email to clear this up and this is why I've posted it. If he contacts me and clears this up in some manner that is mutually acceptable, I will definitely post a good comment to this thread and/or ask that it be removed.
i'm suprised gearheart isn't charging him interest
Just checking here, but concerning P. fasciata anybody bought slings from Aubrey Sidwell of Forest Grove, OR this year?
"04/18/07: Mailed via pri. mail P. fasciata male male for 50/50 loan and agreement for him to forward the male to a hobbyist of my choice."
He refuses to answer my email inquiry after seeing slings of P. fasciata being sold by Dean.
Looks like a 50/50 went to a 100/0 to me. Not good....

Crap I know Aubrey Sidwell............... I don't know him that well, but I don't think he would do something like that though. He seems like a nice guy. I'll try and get ahold of him for you, maybe he has been really busy, who knows.

I cannot say for sure but I think one of them had a sac, but then again maybe not. They do buy wholesale a lot to.
I am not going to pick a side. I know how it looks. So I'll just see if I can get in contact with him for you and maybe things will be explained.
That's the most you can hope for right? Because proving they came from matings with your male is like trying to free OJ at this point.
But if the mating had no result, or the MM died for some reason I do agree some sort of communication should have taken place.
No comms during the time of the breeding project, then about the time a sac would have been produced and being sold from the same state of the receiver of the male and then a neighbor in WA AND no response from my inquiry about the breeding after I saw the slings posted for sale - That pretty much looks they way it does - not good. Not good at all.
If people are going to receive spiders for loans, they need to follow through with the agreements. Lying and stealing. I have no respect for at all and I hope the hobby in general does not condone such activity when it comes to breeding loans.

Seriously now, I respect you, but there is not much else you can do.
You can re word the problem over and over, point out how bad it seems, you can even post a bad review on his thread if you think it will evoke a response.
But rambling on about it more after I said I would see if I could find out more for you, makes me less inclined to do so, and seems contradictory to the advice you gave Reptist about airing out his issues public.
If you have formed an opinion about Aubrey now that would prevent you from future transactions well then that is what you take from it all in the end if there is no resolution.
But like I said, he lives in my neck of the woods, let me see if I can find anything out for you.
This is not rambling. I'm stating the facts. People can make their own conclusions from this info. I'm done. When the receiver of a breeding loan does not update the sender, and worse yet, you see slings of that species being sold out of that state, it does not look good. All we can do, is not do business with that person again and warn others of their practices.
That's it. That's all.

Well, Ill still see if I can find out more for you. I'll be in touch.
After talking to Dean and Tim and finally hearing directly from Aubrey, this problem has been resovled. The mature male expired and the female that he was with also died. Tim produced the species from another pair and Dean also had his own stock. Aubrey didn't keep me informed about all this and his computer went down contributing to the lack of communication.
In summary, it appears that Aubrey did not do anything sinister on this breeding loan. The only thing that was bad was the lack of communications. I'm pretty easy to find on the net via email or phone call. I strongly encourage hobbyists involved with breeding loans to keep those you are working with to breed a species updated on the status of the loan and results. Lack of communications tends to lead to confusion and assumptions. We are all human and assumptions are one of our worst faults.
There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
Well I placed my order about 3-4 weeks ago and still am waiting on Todd to ship my MM subfusca. Granted it was ordered about a week or so before Christmas and I was leaving town for a week after that, so he couldn't ship but come on.
I feel that if your trying to run a professional business that 7 days should be plenty of time to ship even if you just got a HUGE chiliean import that you have to unpack... hire some help if it is that bad.
I would not be so upset if it was some slings or juv. or even a mature female but since it is a MM that is already on death row with my recently molted female getting ever closer to her next molt, that he should make it priority to get it out to me as fast as possible. We made a deal that he would get 5 slings on top of the $100 I paid for the spider:?
I sent him an email yesterday and no response? last time I deal with Todd, sry to sound made but I am!
