I believe we arrived at Aptostichus species

unfortunately the most recent workers in the genus estimate 30+ species, only 7 of which have been described. A lot of the species are either cryptic or at least morphologically indistinguishable from female specimens :/

I have another example of this genus that is on an eggsac right now Smile

Do you have ventral shots of this Wayne?
Or a well preserved molt?

I think sexual organs might help in the id.
If that's even possible at this point.

How else could one go about Id'ing it?

it is not likely you can find out exactly what it is from anyone.  even if you can find morphological characteristics that key out to a species it is likely the species is a complex that needs genetic and geographic analysis to have actual species hammered out.  think on the lines of the Avic problem

check out this paper to see what i mean:
http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/...a901420969&fulltext=713240928
specifically the paragraph under the heading "The Aptostichus atomarius Complex"
