maybe this is in the wrong place... _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." Albert Einstein
unfortunately the most recent workers in the genus estimate 30+ species, only 7 of which have been described. A lot of the species are either cryptic or at least morphologically indistinguishable from female specimens :/
There may be people who like centipedes. I have seen people handling tarantulas and scorpions, but never a centipede handler. I would regard such a person with deep suspicion...Now what sort of man or woman or monster would stroke a centipede on its underbelly "And here is my big good centipede." If such a man exists, I say kill him without more ado. He is a traitor to the human race.
thats unfortunate... i know i have a few from when you guys went collecting from robert, i think that was his name....are they specific to a general locale..... _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." Albert Einstein
it is not likely you can find out exactly what it is from anyone. even if you can find morphological characteristics that key out to a species it is likely the species is a complex that needs genetic and geographic analysis to have actual species hammered out. think on the lines of the Avic problem

yeah, as it turns out all hills start looking the same after a while :/
i think you would be safe enough saying they come from Glendale, CA, though.
